Socialfire uses the OAuth mechanisms provided by authentication providers like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN to authenticate you with the social media site. Your credentials are not communicated to Socialfire; instead, an access token is provided. Socialfire does not persist any data about you when you first log in to Socialfire (using the Login widget) with your existing social ID. Only session cookies are created to maintain your active session. Please note that these cookies are removed when yous log out or shut down your browser. However, if and when you use your social IDs to create social content on Socialfire or any of the component systems serviced by the authentication module, several artifacts are stored to associate the originator of the content with the created content. The artifacts that are stored for blog, photogallery, or review content are the user's unique ID, display name, and profile photo.
